Firm
Markentivo was set up in 2026 in Vancouver.
The firm exists to run paid media as an operation with a published fee, client-owned accounts, and a report a finance lead can read without a translation. The year on every document is 2026 because that is when the practice started.
Why the firm exists
Most companies already spend more on media than they spend on the people who direct it. When the management fee is a percentage of that media, the incentive is to keep spend high. When the report is a screenshot from a platform, the back office cannot tell whether an “order” is a sale it would accept.
Markentivo charges a fixed monthly retainer and leaves media billing on the platforms. The work is to make the spend readable: structure, tracking, tests, and a change journal. Clients who want a partner to “just take the accounts and grow them” without data access are not a fit.
The commercial idea
- Fee published in CAD
- Media billed by platforms
- Accounts remain with the client
- Decisions written down
How the work is arranged
The roster is kept small enough that each account still receives the weekly cycle described on the process page. A fixed price only holds if the number of concurrent clients stays inside that capacity. When the roster is full, we say so and offer a later start date rather than thin the notes.
Decisions that change spend, scope or the definition of a result are written. Slack and email are for speed; the journal is for the record. We do not run the account from an unwritten conversation that later has two versions.
Operating rules
- Limited concurrent accounts
- Fixed monthly fee
- Written decision log
- One weekly note, one monthly PDF
Who we work with, and who we do not
We take Canadian companies that sell online or book work through a website: software, retail, professional services, clinics and schools. They need a media budget at or above the published thresholds and a way to say what an accepted result is. A finance or operations contact who can join the monthly review is part of the fit.
We decline accounts that cannot share order or enquiry data, businesses looking for guaranteed positions or a guaranteed return, and work that is mainly link buying or unmeasured brand placements. We also decline when the only available login is an agency-owned account that the client cannot take with them.
A fit usually has
- Online sales or inbound bookings
- Media at the published minimum
- A definition of an accepted result
- Willingness to keep account ownership
Commitments we put in writing
Access remains with the client. We do not resell media with a markup. We do not charge a percentage of budget. Reporting follows one format: spend, accepted results, cost of a result, and the change list. If a month cannot be reconciled, the report says so instead of filling the gap with a platform screenshot.
These are operating commitments, not performance promises. Campaign results depend on offer, stock, sales follow-up and season. Figures on this site are planning examples. The legal pages state how invoices, pauses and refunds work.
On every engagement
- Client-owned accounts
- No media resale
- No percentage of spend
- One reporting format
Geography and hours
The office is at 1021 West Hastings Street, Suite 900, Vancouver. We work with companies in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario, and remotely across Canada. Calls sit in Pacific Time. The working window is Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:30 PT. Enquiries come in by email, phone or the form on the contact page. We reply within one business day.
If the method fits, the next step is a numbers conversation.
Send the channels, the monthly spend, and what finance will count as a result. We will answer with a retainer or with a clear decline.
